Cookie policy

This page lists the cookies the site actually uses, one by one, with their real purpose and duration. There are two, plus whatever Google may write if you choose to load the map.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser to remember something from one page to the next — the language you are reading in, for instance. Some are written by the site you are visiting (first party), others by external services embedded in its pages (third party).
Technical cookies — no consent needed
These make the site work or remember a preference of yours. They do not profile you and, under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code — the provision that implements the ePrivacy Directive in Italy — they require no consent. There are two, both first party:
- NEXT_LOCALE — remembers which language you are reading in, so the next pages stay in the same one. It is a session cookie: it has no expiry set, and your browser deletes it when you close it.
- 3no-consenso-cookie — remembers the choice you make on the banner, accepted or refused, so we do not ask again on every page. Duration: 6 months.
The Google map — this is where consent is needed
The Contact section carries a map provided by Google Maps. Embedding it means loading resources from Google’s servers, which can then write their own cookies in your browser and collect data about your visit. That is why we ask you first.
Until you consent, the map is not loaded: in its place you find a panel with a button. And it is not the map hidden by a graphical trick — the element that would load it does not exist in the page at all, so no request goes out to Google and no cookie is written.
If you consent, the map appears and Google may write its cookies. Which ones, and for how long, is Google’s decision rather than ours: they are described on Google’s own pages, linked below.
The “Directions” button is an ordinary link: it loads nothing until you click it, and at that point it takes you to Google Maps, where Google’s rules apply.
What this site does NOT do
Worth listing, because it is rare and because you can check it yourself while the page loads:
- No statistics or analytics tool, from any provider.
- No profiling or advertising cookies, from anyone.
- No social buttons that load external resources: the links to our profiles are ordinary links.
- No typeface requested from an outside server: the heading font, Hanken Grotesk, is downloaded when the site is built and then served from our own domain, like the images. No request goes out to Google Fonts.
- No newsletter, no payment system, no form that sends data to a server.
- No third-party service loaded without your consent: the only one is the map, and it waits for you to say yes.
The QR code page
The QR codes on the tables lead to a page of links only, with the menu, the phone number and directions. That page writes no cookies at all — not even the language one — and loads nothing from external servers: the menu it opens is already inside the page.
It does not even remember which menu tab you had open: close the page and nothing is left, neither on your phone nor with us.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice whenever you like, using the panel below or “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page.
If you refuse after having accepted, the map stops being loaded immediately. Cookies Google has already written stay in your browser until you delete them yourself: how to do that is explained below.
Managing cookies from your browser
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its own settings, usually under “Cookies” or “Privacy and security”. Be aware that blocking all cookies can stop parts of the site from working properly, including the part that remembers the choice you have just made.
